Take to the stage in a new Royal Exchange production

Deadline: Thursday 5th October

This November, the Royal Exchange Theatre is staging a reimagining of Derek Jarman’s classic punk movie Jubilee and they want you to take part.

With a cast led by one of the film’s original cast members, legendary punk warrior Toyah Willcox, it’s going to be a giddy riot of music, fashion, art and sex.

The theatre are looking for a group of participants to take part in the show, specifically to perform in a key scene set in an outrageous underground club venue.

They are looking for a genuinely diverse range of people – from club kids to fetish fans; queer teens to drag queens; New Romantic throwbacks to old-school riot grrrls; and old punks and young punks alike. A real variety of cultural backgrounds, body types, ages and styles are wanted.

You don’t have to be an experienced performer, but must be comfortable about performing on stage, and working on a show containing strong language, nudity, sex and violence. Because of this content, all participants in Jubilee must be aged 18 or over.
