Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair starts this week

12-15 Oct 2017
Upper Campfield Market Hall

Celebrating its 10th year, the multi award-winning Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair (GNCCF) is one of the leading selling events for contemporary craft in the UK, attracting over 6000 visitors.

Buy and commission outstanding contemporary craft & design from over 150 designer-makers, all selected for their excellence, from fine jewellery and fashion accessories to functional and statement pieces for the home. A much-anticipated event in Manchester's cultural calendar, the GNCCF is an inspiring and unique shopping experience. It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists, watch them demonstrating their work and to chat with them about their practice.

This year’s Fair takes place at Upper Campfield Market Hall, next to the Museum of Science & Industry. It opens to the general public on Friday, with a private view the night before offering you first option on the craft on sale.

Since 2008, when Thomas Heatherwick opened the show, the GNCCF has become a much-anticipated highlight in the North's cultural calendar. It was voted Small Event of the Year at Manchester's Tourism Awards 2014, having previously won in 2011, and was a Finalist in the Northern Design Awards 2013.
