How time flies: It’s now one year since Pen & Pencil opened its doors for the first time. The bar is celebrating with a birthday party on Saturday 30th September, and you’re invited!
The day begins with the launch of their new Bottomless Brunch menu before DJs take to the decks at 4pm. The line-up includes Melvo Babtiste (Glitterbox Ibiza), Derek Kaye, Ghetto Child and Luv Dancin’. And if you’re still going at midnight, a total of 250 free drinks will be handed out thanks to Pabst Blue Ribbon, Ketel One Vodka and Amstel.
The Pen and Pencil sits on the corner of Hilton and Tariff Street in Manchester’s lively Northern Quarter.
They take our name and inspiration from the infamous mid-20th Century bar on East 45th Street in New York’s ‘Steak Row’ which was popular with newspaper journalists and ad men – the original ‘Mad Men’.
