Manchester ‘Happiness café’ opens in Northern Qtr

In need of a pick-me-up and a bite-to-eat? A new happiness café thinks it has the answer in the form of unicorn-themed baked goods.

Found above the Ridelow on Church Street, Two for Joy is as colourful as the name suggests. The bright colours and feel-good quotes on the walls are a statement against the biegeness of chains that dominate the high street.

Happiness-inspired menu items include the rainbow bagel and the unicorn hot chocolate, full of uplifting sugary goodness. Two For Joy will also run a ‘pay it forward’ coffee scheme, where customers can pay £1 for hot drinks to be given to homeless people in Manchester.

The cafe has been opened by 22-year-old entrepreneur Charlotte Ducie with the support of Virgin business mentors.
