Paul Smith announces opening date of Manchester shop

The new Paul Smith shop on New Cathedral Street opened yesterday.

Founded in Nottingham in the early 70s, Paul Smith has taken 3,000 sq ft next to Harvey Nichols and Selfridges on a 10-year lease.

New Cathedral Street and the nearby Manchester Arndale Centre are joint-owned by M&G Real Estate and shopping centre owner Intu.

Paul Smith had previously had a store in The Avenue, Spinningfields in Manchester.

English fashion designer Sir Paul Smith now has 300 shops with his idiosyncratic take on traditional British styling gaining an international customer base.
