Escape your desk with a walking tour of Manchester’s architecture

Thursday 14 September 2017
12:30 – 14:00
National Football Museum

The days of stuffy networking events might be numbered. Freshwalks are an attempt to get Manchester professionals away from their desks and meeting others whilst stretching their legs. It’s widely reported that productivity is boosted by good health and wellbeing, but it’s all too easy to get caught up in endless meetings and time in front of a computer.

For their 13th walk, Freshwalks will be visiting and talking about some of Manchester's finest architecture, both old and new. The tour will begin outside the National Football Museum before heading into the city via Albert Square ending the route 50mins later at No.1 Spinningfields, before taking lunch at Beastro.

Tour Manchester is led by Sue McCarthy, an official Green Badge Guide registered with the Institute of Tour Guiding. There'll be one or two nuggets of local insight sprinkled across the walks but first and foremost, it's about simple exercise on carefully selected routes that will stimulate interaction and conversation.
